Students at St Joseph's Nudgee College are able to enjoy the very best educational, cultural, sporting and recreational facilities available. Students have access to modern, technologically advanced classrooms, state of the art science labs, technology and resource centre, NITEC, manual arts block, agricultural science centre and specially designed Vocational Education learning areas.

Cultural facilities

Drama students at Nudgee College enjoy modern facilities designed to enhance their learning experience. The refurbished Tierney Hall complex features a 400-seat auditorium, dedicated drama rooms, kitchen/servery and hospitality training bar.

For those interested in music, the College has a sound-proofed, digital recording studio in the Music Department as well as a wide range of musical instruments, bands and ensembles.

Art students are catered for as well with an excellent workshop with equipment to inspire the most creative mind.


At Nudgee College, the Nudgee Information Technology Centre (NITEC) brings together in one area information technology services and traditional library services. The centre provides the facilities to expand curriculum opportunities in all subject areas with emerging technologies. Key to its technology base is access for both students and staff to industry standard applications, internet and multimedia software. These services are provided across the College via a wired and wireless network.

Sporting facilities

With 13 playing fields for cricket, rugby and football, 12 tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, multi-purpose gymnasium, weights room, Olympic 50 metre and 25 metre heated swimming pools, international standard blue synthetic athletics track, on campus cattle yards and vineyard, and a rowing ‘shed’, students can partake in a wide variety of sporting and leisure activities designed to help them develop healthy lifestyle habits.

Agriculture and Outdoor Education

The Nudgee College Wetland Precinct which is adjacent to the well known Boondall Wetlands provides students with an opportunity to appreciate, study and understand conservation issues without leaving the campus.
